Multiple federal grant programs exist specifically to fund school violence prevention, mental health, and student support programs. The Diversion Center's curricula are fully aligned with Project AWARE, Title IV-A, STOP School Violence Act, and SAMHSA school mental health funding priorities.

These federal programs provide funding that can be used to purchase, license, and implement Diversion Center violence prevention curricula and training in your district.

Project AWARE

Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education

Up to $750,000 per district

SAMHSA's Project AWARE grants fund school-based mental health services, violence prevention training, and early intervention programs. Diversion Center curricula are fully aligned with Project AWARE priorities including behavioral threat assessment, student support, and school climate improvement.

Title IV-A

Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grants

Formula-based allocation

Title IV-A funds can be used for safe and healthy students initiatives, including violence prevention curricula, threat assessment systems, and school climate programs. Diversion Center's Tier 1–3 intervention framework is directly aligned with Title IV-A allowable activities.

Bureau of Justice Assistance School Safety Grants

Up to $500,000 per grant

BJA's STOP School Violence Act grants fund threat assessment and intervention teams, training for school officials, and anonymous reporting systems. Diversion Center's Behavioral Threat Assessment System is specifically designed to meet these grant requirements.

Comprehensive School Mental Health Systems

Up to $2M over 4 years

SAMHSA's Comprehensive School Mental Health Systems grants fund evidence-based mental health programs, including violence prevention, trauma-informed care, and student reentry support. All Diversion Center programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based.
